My name is Olena Bahinska. I come from Ukraine and I am looking for a job of an English teacher. I graduated from Lviv Ivan Franko University (Magistracy on Philology) and did Celta (Cambridge certificate on teaching English). I have been teaching for about 20 years. Actually, I had a small private school for studying English in Ukraine (I teach both – children and adults). First, I had studied the language and begun working as a tutor and then entered the university to confirm and deepen my knowledge. I have had to go through a difficult and long path of mastering the foreign language mostly by myself, therefore I understand how important it is to make language learning as easy and clear as possible for children and grown-ups. While working as a tutor I have worked out my own ways of teaching. I have successfully taught more than 500 students. Many of them have achieved good results. Some of them have entered the University or begun working as guides of tourist agencies or just improved their grades. I have developed my own methodology of teaching English and have written a book on it. You can find parts of “Ideas for brightening your lessons” on Amazon. My students achieve B1-B2 level in a year. Ich have been always interested in Psyhology and since December 2019 I have been studying Psychology in Ukrainian Gestalt University which also influences my teaching. I can see the needs of my students better and make teaching as psychologically comfortable as possible. Why have I decided to become a teacher? The most valuable treasure on Earth is a human being. I love people and being a teacher is my way to give love to others. It brings me great pleasure to observe my students’ growth not only in command of English but also in self-confidence. The best award for the teacher is to see that her students benefit from her teaching and use the knowledge they have acquired, in their lives. The additional reward is to have a good relationship with your students to feel their gratitude, appreciation and respect. These are the things that nobody can buy for money - they are priceless. You can run out of money, but you will never run out of good memories, experiences and love that your students have been giving you, and you have been giving them.
