Experienced English Tutor with over 8 years of experience

I have eight years of experience teaching English to learners from a wide range of cultural, academic and professional backgrounds. My work has focused on General English, Business English, English for IT and exam preparation, particularly IELTS. I have taught adults at all proficiency levels, as well as children and teenagers in earlier roles. I also have experience delivering structured, goal-oriented lessons, planning learning pathways and supporting students preparing for international proficiency tests. My background in psychology and sociology has strengthened my understanding of learner behavior, motivation and cultural differences, which helps me adapt my teaching style to individual needs. Across the companies I have worked with, I have gained a strong understanding of online teaching platforms, digital classroom tools and best practices for remote instruction. My approach is centred on clarity, rapport-building and measurable progress, with a consistent focus on helping learners communicate confidently in real-world situations.
