Advanced English with a Qualified Linguist and University Lecturer

I am a highly qualified English teacher from the UK with over ten years of experience teaching English, linguistics, and academic writing in five countries. I specialise in conversational English, business and professional English, advanced grammar and syntax, academic writing, and exam preparation. My lessons are interactive, personalised, and tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals, and interests. My main aim is to help students speak more confidently and accurately, while also giving them clear explanations, useful feedback, and plenty of practice in real-life situations. Depending on your goals, we can work on fluency, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, writing, professional communication, or more advanced aspects of English style and structure. I hold a Trinity CertTESOL qualification and bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every lesson. In addition to my work as an English teacher, I have a strong academic background in linguistics. I previously worked for several years as a junior lecturer in Slavic linguistics at Heidelberg University, where I taught Slavic linguistics, script linguistics, and comparative typology at university level. I now also teach English at LMU Munich. This academic background gives me a deep understanding of how languages work and allows me to explain English clearly, systematically, and precisely. As a language learner myself, I understand both the challenges and the rewards of learning a foreign language. My goal is to provide lessons that are engaging, effective, supportive, and adapted to you.
