Friendly, Experienced English Tutor – From Exam Prep to Essay Writing and English as a Second Language

Hello! I'm an experienced tutor offering personalised English lessons for school and university students, drawing on a background in university teaching and academic research. As an Assistant Lecturer, I developed lectures, tutorials, and course materials for university students, which taught me to explain complex ideas clearly and keep learners engaged. As a tutor, I’ve marked and given detailed feedback on many essays and assignments, which ties in directly with the kind of writing and analytical support many English learners need. I know from experience how much a tailored approach matters, so I adapt materials, exercises, and exam preparation to each student’s individual goals and pace. I’ve also worked closely with younger learners as an au pair and in a boarding house setting, so I bring patience and warmth to helping students of all ages build confidence. My lessons are structured but relaxed: the goal is always to help you feel more confident, whether we’re working on reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, exam preparation, or confidence in English as a second language! I'd love to help you reach your goals!
